Flight over Plovdiv Award

Following an already established tradition, the metallurgic plant KCM 2000 S.A. will award the now annual Flight over Plovdiv award to the museum or gallery with the best approach to its public during the Night of Museums and Galleries 2007. The goal of the award is to encourage Plovdiv’s cultural institutions to strive actively towards influencing citizens’ attitude to culture and the arts in a positive direction.

The winner will be chosen by a jury of four.

The award is a sculpture by French artist and Plovdiv resident Alain Rois, and is made of one kilogram of pure silver produced in the plants of KCM 2000 S.A.

The award will be announced and handed in at midnight on 28 September 2007 in Plovdiv’s City Gallery.
