Encho Pironkov – oil paintings – permanent exhibit.
The exhibition is made of 45 works, created during different periods, which were donated to the museum by the artist. Encho Pironkov (b. 1932) belongs to a generation of artists who modernized Bulgarian art in the 1960s. His works have a bright palette and a characteristic expressivity.
Kopfdrehung -- Ivan Kostolov (guitars), Ivailo Stoyanov (DJ), Vladimir Daov (percussion) – live music.
The Kopfdrehung was founded in 2005 by non-professional musicians – students of fine arts in the Städelschule in Frankfurt – whose music can best be described as sound art. Their compositions are a mixture of sounds and DJ/rock elements. After their graduation, two of the group’s members returned to Bulgaria and took part in the Sound Check Festival in the village of Ezerets (2011). In the same year, they also performed at the opening of the annual exhibition of Section 13 at the Shipka 6 Gallery in Sofia.
