Mexican Art Permanent Exhibit
This exhibit – the first permanent exhibit of Mexican art outside Mexico – is a survey of Mexican engraving in the late 20th c. It also includes copies of pre-Columbian pottery, copies of musical instruments as well as craft objects. Mexican art made its appearance in Bulgaria in 1981 when the 13 Centuries of Bulgaria National Fund acquired a collection of 1 300 Mexican prints.

Tsanko Lavrenov Permanent Exhibit
The exhibit is made up of 60 oil paintings, photographs and drawings by the distinguished Bulgarian artist Tsanko Lavrenov (1896–1978). His distinctive primitivist style is inspired by Bulgaria’s cultural heritage and icon painting, as well as by ordinary people’s lives. He is the author of numerous articles on the history of Bulgaria’s visual arts.
