THE SMALL BASILICA

„Basilica Tessera“ is a site-specific digital installation. The Basilica’s ancient floor mosaics will be reproduced in a multi-media composition of image, sound and text. The digital artifacts will dynamically transform their structure, creating new forms and a constant interplay between specificity and abstraction. A specially-composed soundtrack integrating ambient music, electro and melodic noise compliments the visualization.
