12 September - exhibition
The exhibition contains 28 works related to different periods in the history of art, each corresponding to a chapter in Ernst H. Gombrich’s book “The Story of Art”. It is a demonstration of the artist’s own ignorance of art history, which he purposefully treats as an advantage. Solakov highlights the influence of various art movements in history on contemporary society. His works incorporate all kinds of technological gadgets and means for entertainment. But they also deal with the notion of crisis – in 16th century art, as well as in 21st century finance.
