UNION OF PLOVDIV ARTISTS

The Union of Plovdiv Artists is hosting a nocturnal workshop with ten artists who will make a demonstration of collage techniques. Organized within the framework of the 8th International Art Collage Symposium.

An exhibition of photo and video archives documenting art installations and interventions produced during workshops with art school students led by Dobrin Atanassov and Lyuben Kuleliev, within the project Parallel Steps, Parallel Spaces.

The project is supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation.

Featuring traditional Buddhist art, the exhibition will familiarize visitors with the symbolism and meaning of Buddhist imagery contained in specially prepared thanki and Buddhist objects.

The film tells the life story of Lopon Tsechu Rinpoche, a great master and realized lama of Tibetan Buddhism, taking us back to the 1970s, when the first Europeans in search of Buddhist enlightenment came to Nepal.
