Visually, VIDEOHOLICA [OUT OF FOCUS] pleads against the mainstream convention that everything should be in focus and against the luxury advertising image, which is digitally improved and error-free. Creatively, VIDEOHOLICA [OUT OF FOCUS] pleads for a creative approach that avoids the convenient truths of trends and fads, and for using allegorical language and saying things without focusing the camera in order to make a point. Politically, VIDEOHOLICA [OUT OF FOCUS!] pleads for an alternative view of the problems of today’s society, which are outside the focus of mainstream media and absent from the agenda of global political elites. VIDEOHOLICA [OUT OF FOCUS!] pleads for an outburst of “creative insanity” after which the world will not be the same. [OUT OF FOCUS!] is both a “blur” and a “fog”, but also something beyond these.
