The project links together the six locations from the Dark Side of the Night itinerary. While the stories do not follow any particular order, each is related and dependent on the others, and on the instinct of the public to discover and understand them. “The dark side of the soul” is an expression first ascribed to Juan de Yepes y Álvarez (John of the Cross), designating the temporary experience of spiritual desolation in mysticism, a time in which God is concealed and faith seems to waver. Called the “Sahara of the heart” by Richard J. Foster, this is a period when Man “measures his indignity in a downward movement” before measuring “his greatness in a movement up towards Light”. Which is why it is not a negative experience. John of the Cross differentiates between two types of night: one of the senses, and the other of the mind.

13 September - performance
The Price of the Prize is a confessional lecture dealing with the invisible side of artistic activity, which is often fraught with misunderstandings, embarrassing situations and incidents. Various images will be placed in the slots at the back of the church pews, where Bibles and prayer books are normally kept, unlocking stories for public that chooses to view them.

13 September - concert, music
The duo has worked intensively since 2011. As a result of this close collaboration it developed a strong interest in exploring micro elements that increase the sensitivity of perception for themselves as well as their audiences, leading to music that focuses on micro tonality and intimate, slow moving soundscapes. The musicians are intrigued by real time composition and improvisation, as well as by contemporary composition, and their search is continuous and ever expanding. Occasionally the duo performs with guests (among those dancers Ingo Reulecke, Franz Rogowski, accordionist Luca Venitucci, sound artist Svetlana Maras) or works in alternative environments such as complete darkness. Recent concerts in Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Serbia, Bulgaria and Germany, (Reheat Festival/Austria, AmBul Festival/Sofia and Nachtmusik/Radialsystem/Berlin) and the release of the record "Already There" on the Swiss label Flexion records met with critical acclaim.
