(almost) Paintings
/exhibition/
The exhibition „(almost) Paintings“ at Sariev gallery will exhibit for the first time paintings by Nedko Solakov, created at the end of his Mural Painting studies at the National Academy of Art in Sofia, about 1977-1981. It is no coincidence that the artist has not exhibited them so far, he considered them “about-to-become-paintings-but-not-yet”. Each of these works is connected with certain memories from that time, which Solakov intends to tell with text on the walls of the gallery around the eight pieces, hoping that, even though they are still almost-paintings, they will become a complete narrative with the hand-written (and not thought of beforehand, but spontaneously written) stories around them.
