Earth for Everyone
/Creative Workshop/
The workshop is held regularly as part of the “Eureka!” travelling exhibition and is a special edition for the younger audience within NIGHT/Plovdiv. In it, children and parents alike learn about the environment protection and the importance of the ecological balance through games.
The “Eureka!” exhibition is arranged in Plovdiv by the Muzeiko children’s science centre. The exhibition introduces children and curious adults to inventions that have been adopted and changed our everyday life, and its basic mission is to provoke an experimenter’s approach in the kids, who should not be afraid of the trials and errors in getting to know the world. The visitors learn how the X-ray, the telephone, and the Morse code telegraph were invented, as well as less well-known but terribly funny inventions such as the slinky, the hot air balloon or the human-powered cars.

Slinky
/Creative Workshop/
Slinky is the name of a metal spring that is exceptionally popular with children in many countries. It was invented by accident in 1943 by the American Richard James, who tried to construct a stabiliser for navigational instruments aboard vessels in rough seas. This special spring will be the main element of the workshop, which will include various entertaining games and tricks with a metal and plastic slinky.
