20:00 – 01:00 Peep Show, performance by Mariela Gemisheva (Sofia), part of Sariev Gallery’s exhibition “My Favorite Boudoir”.
20:00 – 21:00 Stage 1: The artist destroys a garment sculpture and turns it into a bed, then transforms the gallery space into a disorderly boudoir and prepares to go to bed.
21:00 – 01:00 Stage 2: The artist goes to bed and falls asleep. Her sleep can be observed through the window.
01:00 Stage 3: Someone wakes the artist up.
Mariela Gemisheva was born in Kazanluk. She graduated in Art History and Criticism from the Academy of Architecture, Design and Art in Prague, the Czech Republic. She teaches fashion design at the National Art Academy and is a member of the Institute for Contemporary Art in Sofia. As a fashion designer, she explores clothing beyond its function as a market commodity.
