19:00 – 01:00 – „The Seven Hills of Plovdiv” – a horror novel by Steve Z. Barowski (USA), book presentation and conversation with the author.
Steve Z. Barowski will present his bestselling horror novel “The Seven Hills of Plovdiv” on invitation from the Open Arts Foundation. Barowski, who refuses to use air transport, has traveled from New York City by boat and car, accompanied by his agent. During their two-week trip on board a transatlantic ship, he painted his car with the family trees of all horror writers in the world since Antiquity. During his stay in Plovdiv (19 – 26 September), he will explore the history of his Bulgarian ancestors. Barowski is agoraphobic and will meet his audience in one-on-one sessions in his car, in the parking lot of Restaurant Fresh.
Club Real is a Berlin-based art group founded by Marianne Ramsey-Sonneck, Thomas Hauck and Georg Reinhardt whose artistic interests are in multi-disciplinary, interactive and site-specific work. They are in Plovdiv with the support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, the Kultura National Fund and EVN Plovdiv.
