21:00 – 22:00 The House of Bernarda Alba – a dance performance inspired by Federico Garcia Lorca’s play. Music: Panos Manouilidis (Greece) and Amar Amarni (Algiers); set design: Erna Angelova; choreography: Ana Salasar; dance: Monika Poungerova, Denitsa Gerginikova, Vera Mocheva, Plamena Pencheva, Ivan Enev and Ana Salasar.
The music of The House of Bernarda Alba is inspired by the age of Federico Garcia Lorca as well as by contemporary music. The show examines the relationships between five sisters locked up in their mother’s house who are in love with the same man. The choreography is a mixture between classical flamenco and contemporary dance. The dancers are students at the Frida Dance Studio.
22:30 – 23:30 „Bread and Circuses” – a poetry&music performance by Yassen “ЯRсен” Vassilev and Shamancheto (Sofia). With excepts from the books “Infinity hangs blind” and “Bread and Pyramids”, and the participation of To4ka (euphoric painting) and Bo (violin and piano improvizations).
Yassen “ЯRсен” Vassilev is the author of the poetry book “Infinity hangs blind”. He is the recipient of 14 awards for poetry and fiction. His new book – “Bread and Pyramids” – is forthcoming.
Shamancheto plays with several Bulgarian bands.
То4ка is the author of the project Euphorism.
Bo plays with a young rock band.
